For what it is, it's amazing!
Samsung Digimax S730 7.2MP Inexpensive Digital Camera

I owned one of those little Panasonics before this and it cost about a hundred bucks more. It was stolen so I was looking to get something else, and cheaper. I came across this inexpensive digital camera and I have to say that for what it is and how cheap it is, it's fantastic!

It's taking better pictures so far, it's easier to operate, and in some ways can do more than the other inexpensive digital camera could. The video feature is the one that I'm probably most excited about in terms of that because you can not only zoom with it, unlike the other digital camera, but it also saves them as AVI files. That means I can edit them on Windows Media Player as opposed to the others where it saves them all as Quicktime files.

It's taking clearer, more filmic pictures and the color's are fantastic! It's so damn simple to operate too. I think the way they saved money was by using a plastic case instead of a metal one and not having it run on lithium ion battery. However, get the blue Duracel batterys that are made for inexpensive digital camera and, voila, problem solved.

It's the perfect budget best digital camera and will satisfy you needs thoroughly!

Samsung Digimax S85 8MP
Best Digital Camera Low Price.

I'm not much of a photographer but needed something to take pictures of my grandson. This inexpensive digital camera has lots of features that I liked but it is fiddly to use. I can't read the little symbols on the buttons, but there aren't many buttons so memorizing their function isn't hard. The LCD screen is large and clear. I have a hard time figuring out the best setting for my situation simply because this inexpensive digital camera offers so many variables and choices. The best pictures I have taken so far have been indoors without the flash. I like the digital camera but it has a higher learning curve that the one I owned previously.

This is my first dSLR camera. While most stores display the XTi and eventually the XSi, the XT is adequate for my needs. I believe I do not need the potentially ineffective sensor cleaning feature, live view, eye proximity detector, extra focal points, or the extra resolution. I ordered the XT with the EF-S 18-55mm 3.5-5.6 IS lens for only around $180. After buying the 4 GB Sandisk CF card I spent less than $700 total. A few years ago, I would only be a able to buy a high-end point and shoot camera. In the near future, I plan to buy the EF 50mm 1.8 II prime lens as well.

Pros:
-Compact; great for traveling, even fits in my backpack with my 18-55mm IS attached.
-Very good ISO performance from 100-800. 1600 is OK
-Handy back-lit monochrome LCD display
-Built-in flash for starting out in dSLR photography and hot-shoe for future external flash
-Very fast response
-Shutter, aperture, and focus point display in viewfinder.
-Custom functions allow some tweaking.

Cons:
-Changing white balance, ISO, AF mode, and light metering requires use of the color LCD screen that is hard to see in sunlight. I wish the shortcut buttons just toggle through the settings and that I could see the resulting changes on the monochrome LCD.
-No spot metering
-Thumb wheel is too firm to easily rotate
-CF pins may be easy to bend resulting in expensive repairs
